Description: The City of South Bend, Indiana is broken down into four regional areas with a total of 18 police department patrol beats covering 460 miles of streets and an additional 499 miles of alleys. This dataset consists of polygons representing the boundaries of the police beats and was last updated in February of 2016 by Office of Innovation & Technology personnel. The South Bend City Limits Shapefile was used to accurately create the exterior boundaries for the Beats.
